The shipboard fixed pump is used primarily to discharge the cargo from the hold of an ocean going liquid gas carrier. Carter provides the most compact and light weight pumping system available. The simple, compact pump is easy to maintain providing ship owners and operators with the lowest overall maintainence cost over the life of the ship. Carter shipboard pumps are still in operation after thirty years.
